This past weekend I participated in an event called the Global Game Jam, a 48-hour marathon during which small teams must create a playable videogame—from scratch. Our entry, entitled Quest for Stick, is a platformer/puzzle game in which you must use mystical powers to guide a Shaman through the level to recover his rain-stick. It is available to download on the Game Jam website, and there is also a gameplay video up on YouTube, so I hope you will check it out!

My contribution to the project was entirely in audio this time around. I had never done composition or sound design before, but it was a great opportunity to learn in a trial-by-fire setting. I will be posting the music on my blog soon, and will make a note here when it is available.
